Quick answer

Quick answer

Confirm the route and setup window, assign one person to inventory control, move cases before loose cards, and build the table in a fixed order. The goal is to reach a complete, countable display before doors open, not to optimize decorations while inventory remains in open bins.

The short version

  • One person should always know where the high-value inventory is.
  • Build the secure shell before unpacking premium cards.
  • Leave time for a final count, glare check, and payment test.

What should be confirmed with the promoter?

Get the vendor entrance, parking instructions, badge process, cart rules, elevator access, table assignment, and exact setup deadline. Ask whether cases can be left overnight and what security is present after the hall closes.

Save the answers as screenshots or a printed sheet. A load-in email is not helpful when service drops and the parking attendant needs the address for a different entrance.

What is the fastest safe setup order?

Drape the table, place and secure empty cases, install risers, set signs, and prepare checkout before opening premium inventory. Load the back rows first and keep one closed inventory container under direct control until every card is counted into the case.

  • Keep aisles clear and collapse carts as soon as unloading is complete.
  • Do not leave open inventory behind a drape while getting badges or coffee.
  • Give helpers a photo of the finished layout and a specific case assignment.
  • Test the reader with a small internal transaction or its built-in connection check.

What is the final ten-minute check?

Count premium inventory, lock cases, test payment, hide empty transport packaging, and walk the aisle. Check that prices and category signs read from the customer side and that no cord, bag, or case corner creates a trip or reach hazard.

Then put keys, phone, and handoff supplies in fixed locations. The first rush is the wrong time to decide where those items belong.

Quick answers

Frequently asked questions

Is one cart enough for a card show table?

It can be if weight, case size, elevator rules, and parking distance are known. Test the packed cart at home and keep the heaviest load within the cart rating and your safe handling ability.

Should premium inventory travel in the display case?

Usually it is safer to transport cards in purpose-built closed storage and load the case after it is stable. A show case is not automatically a travel case.

How long does table setup take?

Time the full process at home. Include parking, cart movement, badge pickup, counting, payment testing, and cleanup rather than measuring only the display assembly.
